MUSICAL BACKGROUND: Peter, Williams Sawyer is a revered musicologist whose areas of interest consists of voicing, choral directing, conducting and composition with emphasis on both Western and African pieces. He also minors in piano and the percussion instruments.

He holds close to a three decade experience in both sacred and circular music.

A Baptist Clergy who hails from Ayibabiri Town, in Opokuma community of the Kolokuma/Opokuma local government area of Bayelsa State.

A devoted Gospel minister, he has served in various capacities within and outside the religious community, he exhumes a deep passion for good music with a rich lyrical content.

Rev. Peter Williams Sawyer, attended the Prestigious Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Nigeria (2017) where he bagged a Master of Divinity in Church Music degree (M.Div. CM) and also the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Iwofe, Port Harcourt (2023) for a Master's Degree in Education (M.Sc.ED).

He is currently the Music/Choral Director of the Rivers Baptist Conference, a body of over 400 Baptist Churches across Rivers State, Nigeria where he leads all aspects of their music /worship life.
He also doubles as the Dean of the famous Allstars Ensemble, a body of professional musicians based in heart of the Garden City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria whose musical prowess knows no bounds.

Beyond music, Peter Sawyer is a seasoned educationist who blends modern teaching pedagogy with sound moral and spiritual tenets.

FAVOURITE GENRES: Classical Music, Sacred Music, Jazz, Contemporary Choral and African folksongs.

INFLUENTIAL ARTISTS: Panam Passy Paul, Robert Kelly, Yanni, Stevie Wonder, Bob Amunye, Bob Marley and Rex Jimmy Lawson.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Rev. Peter Williams Sawyer is a song writer/composer, a vast sight reader, choral arranger, a voice coach and a Curriculum development expert, an Accounting cum Economist teacher /enthusiast.

Married to his beloved wife and singing minstrel, Brain Dakuroteim Peter Sawyer nee Opuda, they are blessed with two sons; George and Gabriel.

INSPIRATION: The Reverend gentleman is deeply inspired by the rhythm, beauty and resonance of choral music especially the Hymns. Directing and/or playing along with a Choir or musical group brings for him a deep thought-provoking insights as collaborations with the ever abounding talents and gifts that exists on earth to make the world a better place.
